USC Union Defeats Southwest Virginia in a 6-0 Victory
On October 14, 2025, USC Union delivered a commanding performance against Southwest Virginia, securing a 6-0 victory in a men's soccer match held in Jonesville, Union. The game, which kicked off at 3:00 PM, showcased USC Union's offensive prowess and defensive solidity.
From the onset, USC Union took control of the match, with Steve Ouattara opening the scoring just four minutes in, assisted by Valerio Cuscina. Ouattara struck again at the 7:48 mark, this time with an assist from Joshua Macdonald, setting the tone for a dominant first half. Juan Rodas added another goal at 13:40, and Max Manzelmann capped off the first half with a goal assisted by Rodas, putting USC Union up 4-0.
In the second half, Manzelmann continued to shine, scoring two more goals at the 48:00 and 58:00 marks, with assists from Massimo Rossie and an unassisted effort, respectively. Manzelmann's hat-trick performance was a highlight of the match, demonstrating his clinical finishing ability.

"The team is working really well," said sophomore Juan Rodas. "It feels like a family on and off the field."
Sophomore Julien Fodisch says the team hopes to keep their momentum as they head into the region tournament. "I am very proud of the team, we can do a lot," he said. Julien feels that his work on the offense is making a difference this year. "I've been having a good impact on our offensvie plays, making some good passes."
